Welcome to Richard Fay Counselling
When life becomes difficult to manage, we need to connect with someone who will help us make sense of it all, who will remind us of our true selves, who will help us care for ourselves again, so that we might feel whole, hopeful and joyful. Someone who will give us strategies to make the future very different from the past. This is a right of every person, to be understood, to be known, and to find a way forward.
As a counsellor, psychotherapist and community leader, I have over 20 years experience journeying with people through life’s challenges. I offer a confidential, non-threatening, accepting, affirming presence for everyone, no matter what their situation.
My practice is in a quiet, beautiful part of Coorparoo near the Brisbane CBD. I also see clients via Zoom.
Whether you are struggling with relationship issues, feel stuck in life, or find things too hard to manage emotionally, I am here to listen and to help you find the resources that will help you thrive.

Testimonials
Before I met Richard, my previous experiences in counselling and therapy sessions left me feeling quite disheartening, isolated and misunderstood in my journey of discovering healing and wholeness. I found that my previous counsellors struggled with being objective in the guidance, as well as being fully present with me in my sessions. With Richard I straight found that he embodied these 2 characteristics that were important for me and allowed me to not feel like a problem that needed solving or just another client in a busy schedule. 2 and half years later, our sessions have only continued to be more enriching and enlightening, empowering me to face the depths of my humanity in a confidential and comfortable setting. I couldn’t recommend Richard and his services any higher.
